Hotaka sat in a low branch of a tree, his guitar resting on his lap as he contemplated what he should do next. His blue eyes were relatively unfocused, well actually he was focusing on an object in the distance. At the base of his tree was his motorbike helmet. His bike itself was gettign a few tweaks to ensure it was road worthy over here at Bikez and Carz. He wasn't happy about being seperated from it to be totally honest.
He could see someone approaching his tree and he kept an eye on them, he didn't want anyone taking off with his helmet, it had his darts sunglasess in it after all.

Scarlett, happy as ever, danced across the park. She had a book in one hand, something she was studying for her classes. She took it out, and read aloud, " Whats his type? Wilting flower? Bright and bubbly? Smouldering temptress?" She flicked her blonde hair over her shoulder. She thought about the rest of the class. The guy playing Christian was such a dork...
The class were doing Moulin Rouge. Scarlett had enrolled for the starring role of Satine, and got it-temporarily. There were so many other girls, who were better than her really. She didn't know why she got it-thats why she thought it was temporary. She threw herself down next to a tree, relaxing in the gentle shade of the leaves. There was a motorcycle helmet beside her, but she had no interest in that. She was absorbed in the detail of the book. She briefly wondered whose helmet it was, before she leapt up again, and began to sing softly. "The French are proud to die for love...they delight in fighting duels...but I prefer a man who lives...and gives....something...something else..."

Hotaka carefully slipped his guitar in its case slinging it on his back before he climbed down. He easily grabbed his helmet, slipping his Darts sunglasses on to avoid getting blinded by the sun. "Nice singing," he commented quietly. He'd just checked the time on his cell phone, he'd be able to get his beloved Ducati Motorbike back soon, he couldn't wait.

Scarlett turned around quickly, shocked by the voice. She saw a young man, wearing sunglasses. She thought he must have been in the tree, as he was holding the helmet. When he complimented her, she grinned, but sighed. "Thanks. I can't get the last bit though..." She mumbled, shy suddenly.

Hotaka smiled. "I believe its...." he had to pause to mentally translate the name "Moulin Rouge?" he enquired. The only Musical Hotaka had heard of a knew in English as well as Japanese was Phantom of the Opera. He deftly slipped his guitar case off one shoulder at the thought of PHantom of the Opera bringing his guitar out and altering the tuning and its sounding to give it the slightly harsher rocky edge. "Excuse me," he commented unable to help himself but to start playing, his eyes getting a slight glazed look as he focused entirely on the music. (OOC: Think Nightwish styled phantom of the Opera)

Scarlett watched this boy, who had been so kind to compliment her, and then to recognise what she was singing. He hadn't even looked at the book she was rehearsing from. He had taken his guitar from where it was slung on his shoulder. With a quick apology, he had begun to play a song on it. Scarlett watched with awe. He was pretty dang good. "Phantom of the Opera, correct?" She asked him. She recognised the song from one of her favourite musicals of all time. It was on her top three, coming second only to West Side Story.

Hotaka nodded easily handling the speedy drops down his eyes closing behind the sunglasses as he really got into the peice. He couldn't help but sing the Phantoms part, his voice having that rocky edge to it without it being overpowering. "Sing once again with me, our strange duet... my power over you grows stronger yet, and though you turn from me to Glance behind, the Phantom of the Opera is here inside your mind,"

Scarlett listened to the boy with the magic guitar fingers. His voice was good, rough, but not too much so. She listened for a while, then smiled, put her hands on her hips and said, "What's your name? I ain't seen you around here before. I'm Scarlett before you say."

"Sut--- I mean Hotaka Sutaro, its a pleasure to meet you," he responded with a slight embarassed smile. He still hadn't got used to the Western way of introductions. He was used to the Japanese way, of surname first... well family name.
